There are some situations where this countertop distiller is without question the best possible option for making pure water. If you cannot install a whole house water conditioner and your water hardness is too high to effectively use an RO system; then this is my recommendation (most RO units should not be used with water harder than 7 grains).
THE PRINCIPLE IS SIMPLE
By comparison Automatic Distillers are very complicated machines and require much more routine and unscheduled maintenance than this. Because this countertop distiller is so simple it is an excellent choice for your home especially if you’re a renter or want a portable system for travel.
The only disadvantage compared to the much more expensive automatic distillers is it cannot be plumbed to your automatic ice maker and it’s pure water cannot be instantly and conveniently dispensed by a dedicated faucet mounted at your kitchen sink.
The remaining disadvantage of this unit is also shared by all electric distillers including all automatic distillers; and that is the cost of electricity to make your pure water.
